Hanabusa is a traditional thatched cottage fully reformed and complete with all the modern conveniences. The house is 150 years old and registered as a site of cultural heritage. It is a beautiful example of traditional thatched architecture.

Kaya villa is a modern take on the traditional Japanese thatched cottage complete with all the comforts and conveniences you would expect from a new house. Surrounded by mountains, beautiful rice fields and a bamboo forest, this is the perfect place to relax and unwind.

Mitoya is a classical example of a traditional thatched cottage or “kayabuki” in Japanese.Located in a tranquil rural community with views of rice fields and mountains it’s an ideal place for people who want to cycle and hike in nature .The interior has earthen walls, tatami straw matts, futons and an “irori” or hearth where you can cook over charcoal and enjoy the glow of a real fire.
The perfect contrast to the bright lights of Tokyo and the crowded tourist scene in Kyoto, Mitoya will give you a chance to see and feel the real Japan.
